Following the success of the widely acclaimed Critical Race Theory and Education: a Marxist Response (Palgrave, 2009), in this new book Mike Cole extends his Marxist analysis to include key concepts from the work of neo-Marxists Antonio Gramsci and Louis Althusser. Cole begins by addressing what is distinctive about a neo-Marxist analysis.
