The Education Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) organizes its 17th Annual International Conference on Education, 18-21 May 2015, Athens, Greece. The conference website is: http://www.atiner.com/education.htm.

The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars and students of education and other related disciplines. You may participate as panel organizer, presenter of one paper, chair a session or observer. Papers (in English) from all areas of education are welcome.  For programs of previous conferences and other information, please visit the conference website: http://www.atiner.com/education.htm.

Fee structure information is available on www.atiner.com/fees.htm.

Special arrangements will be made with a local luxury hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A Greek night of entertainment with dinner, a special one-day cruise to selected Greek islands, an archaeological tour of Athens and a one-day visit to Delphi. The Education Research Unit of the Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) organizes its 16th Annual International Conference on Education, 19-22 May 2014, Athens, Greece. The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars and students of education and other related disciplines. SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CRITICAL EDUCATION

 The Department of Education, University of Athens, Greece is hosting the

2nd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CRITICAL EDUCATION
10-14 July 2012, Athens, Greece

Some of last year’s papers (from the 2011 conference) will go into a special edition of JCEPS, the Journal for Critical Education Policy Studies, coming out in around April 2012. In addition, all the papers that were presented at the 2011 conference and were submitted in written form will be published as conference proceedings in the next couple of months.

The website is in process of improvement, e.g. regarding methods of payment. Also the final keynote speakers are not yet confirmed. We are asking Dennis Beach, me (Dave Hill), Marnie Holborow, and Alex Callinicos, as well as leading Greek Marxists/ critical educators.

So, hope to see you at this conference inAthens in July! Last year’s was great – politically, intellectually, and socially!

Participants should submit an abstract of 300 words by: 15 December 2010.

Notification of acceptance of paper presentation by: 15 January 2011.

Full papers should be submitted by: 30 May 2011.

The papers will be peer reviewed and published in the Conference Proceedings.

Selected papers will be published in Special Issues of JCEPS, Cultural Logic and KRITIKI.

Conference Fee:

The Conference fee is 300 Euros. The fee covers participation in the conference, the book of abstracts, coffee/tea/refreshments

during conference breaks and participation in the conference dinner in a traditional taverna.

The Conference fee for participants from Greece and all those in hardship is 50 Euros

The participation of unemployed and colleagues from the third world is free/no fees.
